Roger Rimel has been a goldsmith and jewelry designer for over 30 years. He exhibits his jewelry locally and nationally, teaches workshops, and maintains a studio in St. Louis, Missouri. His work is represented in numerous galleries.
P&M Artworks is delighted to bring this collection to you.
"Eroded landforms and aerial views of agricultural patterns inspire my work. Gold and silver jewelry pieces are fabricated, accented with gemstones, using techniques of fusing, forging, chasing, and reticulation. Each piece is a small-scale reflection of vast and intimate eroded surfaces."
Roger Rimel's Process and Techniques:
- All jewelry work is one of a kind, designed, and hand-produced in his studio. Design styles may be repeated, but specific pieces are not duplicated.
- The various textures are applied with chasing tools, prepared hammers, files, abrasives, fusing, and torch techniques. Surfaces are often treated with dark patina which will “body polish” depending on the wearer.
- All pieces are produced in sterling silver and karat golds that are reclaimed and re-alloyed by reputable refiners.
- Colored stones and diamonds are genuine and are purchased from ethical dealers, most are members of the American Gem Trade Association.
