Mihaela Ioana Atomei
I was born on March 13, 1971, in Pascani, in the north of Romania. I spent my beautiful childhood surrounded by my parents, brothers, grandfathers, uncles, aunts and cousins, a big and beautiful family. In 1998 I graduated ''G. Enescu" Academy of Iasi, department of graphics. Important for my career was my marriage with the painter Stelian Ghiga being the one who helped me to develop myself as a painter. Why does one grown man feel the need to make art, and another, to be educated? Can one live a lifetime without having to make contact with art? "I do not know," Stelian Ghiga. For the painter of Craiova, the need to paint resembles that of eating - it's a necessity. Twelve years after studying at the Academy of Arts in Iasi and Timisoara, Ghiga had his first retrospective exhibition. “I de-stress perspective can definitely say that I have changed a lot in style over time, but I always tried to do, to restore, to change - the desire to create something good out of curiosity, to see what comes out."
"First of all, I hope my paintings please the public, and to make myself known as part of the artistic elite of Timisoara.” - says Stelian Ghiga. Self-reported innovative artist who prefers to be understood as "a painting pioneer rather than a Mannerist painter”.
Why a grown man feels the need art, and another, lack of education, can live a lifetime without having to make contact with her? "I do not know. Probably just left God," Stelian Ghiga replies. For him, the painter of Craiova, the need to paint resembles that of eating - it's a necessity. He could and did not even want to give up art again, but perhaps specialized higher education before the revolution, "when they enter college and were very hard to candidates who gave 12 times and still did not come." Now, 12 years after the Academy of Arts in Iasi and Timisoara his first exhibition, look behind, in front and in a retrospective, de-stress perspective can definitely say that I have changed a lot in style over time, but not the concern to make itself known in the art: "I always tried to do, to restore, to change - the desire to create something good out of curiosity, to see what comes out."
